Account Required

To edit or create pages on this site you must have a user account. Anyone can sign up for an account. It is a bit bothersome to do this, but to help control spam we currently require this step. It doesn't take much time and it really is very easy to do.

Create a new page

Type the desired name of the new page into the search box and click "Go". In the next page click the link to create the new page and start editing.

Edit an existing page

Once you are logged in, navigate to the page you wish to change and click the "edit" tab at the top of the page. You will then be able to directly change the Wikitext of the page.

Easiest way to copy data into this site

Pages on this site are written using Wikitext. Copying and pasting information from your email, a Word document, or a web page will likely result in lot of lost formatting and weird results. The easiest way to copy data into Wikipedia is to use the following method.

 1. Copy and paste the data into Word (if it is not already in it).
 2. Save the Word document as a web page (HTML)
 3. Open the resulting HTML file in a text editor like Notepad
 4. Copy the HTML
 5. Use a HTML to Wikitext converter to change the HTML into Wikitext.

Images & Uploading Files

Including an image on a page is very easy. Simple follow these steps:

 • Go to the Special:Upload page.
 • Upload your file, and make a note of the file name.
 • On the article page that you wish to include the image, use the following wiki markup:

More help on working with images can be found here.

General Editing Topics

Creating a content box for navigation

When your page has lots of content and you want to make navigating the page easier it is best to divide the page into sections. Sections are denoted by putting == == around the text. Subsections are denoted by === === and so on. Wikipedia will automatically generate a navigation box if you use section headers in your page.

Example:

Main Heading
Sub Heading
Creating links to external sites
Any link to a site external to this one.
<pre>National AJET

If you want to hide the arrow icon that appears automatically next to external site links you can use this syntax:

<span class="plainlinks">National AJET</span>

Linking to an article page on this site

Simply put the article/page name in double brackets: Living Guide

Living Guide
Another link text

Redirects (one page, many titles)

Sometimes you want a page to have many titles. This is particular useful when visitors are searching for the page using words that aren't in the original title. Simply create a new page that has the other title you want to use, and then use the following wiki markup to redirect that page to the original article:

#REDIRECT pagename
