Arima Onsen (有馬温泉)
Just a short train ride north of Shinkobe station, Arima Onsen is one of Japan's oldest hotsprings, and was a favorite resort for many historical figures. The two springs that feed the area are Kinsen (金泉 - "Gold Spring") and Ginsen (銀泉 - "Silver Spring"), taking their name from the water's natural color. Kinnoyu and Ginnoyu are great facilities for daytrips, but if you want to live it up, there are numerous hotels in the area as well.
