Tajima JET Houses

This page is a listing of the homes/apartments of the JETs in the Tajima region. Since navigation and giving directions is often done in reference to "so-and-so's house", it can be helpful to know where each dwelling is exactly located. When editing, be sure to always include a link to the address on Google Maps. JETs are continually coming and going, so be sure to also maintain a list of names of past JETs who lived at that address.

- Past JETs: Meiyen
- Parking: There is space for 1, maybe 2, cars depending on if neighbouring apartments are occupied. Otherwise, visitors can park at nearby Pair Shopping Center.
- Directions: From Toyooka, take the 312 south. In Yoka, you will come to a T-intersection with a Mobile gas station on the left. Turn right. Go straight. At the 3rd ligth, there be a Family Mart, turn right. Go straight. You'll pass Pair Shopping Center on the right. At the next lights, turn left. Take the next right and then right again. The building is the third grey concrete box on the right side after the park. The apartment is the door on the right. From the south, take the Bantan or the 312 north to Wadayama. At the McDonald's turn left onto route 9. Continue for a while until you get to Yabu. You'll pass the Y-Town shopping complex on the right and then go through a tunnel. Take the first right after the tunnel. Go straight to the lights and turn left. Now you'll see the Family Mart on the right, so follow the rest of the directions above.

- Parking: It is OK for a small car to park behind the owner's car (as long as you don't obstruct another car's ability to exit or enter) and a car can be parked for a limited amount of time (not all night) on the concrete island where the trash station is. Alternate parking is available just a short way down the road. Drive toward the beach and you will very soon come to bridge. Cross the bridge and take the very first left you can make (just as you come off the bridge). You will be on a small road. After that, make another left turn very soon to go down towards the river. There is ample parking just by the river.
- Directions: From Toyooka, take the 178 heading towards Takeno (Tottori). When you take the exit to Takeno you will soon come to a T-intersection. Turn right at that intersection (heading towards the beach). Stay on the road until you see Takeno Station (it will be on your left; after about 10 or 15 minutes). You are now on the main street (just about the only street in Takeno with street lights). You will go through a signal (the first one since the light when you came into Takeno). Drive straight for just a bit (10 or 15 seconds) and just before where it curves slightly to go to the bridge you will see an apartment building (about 7 units) on your left. You are here!

- Parking: Since the road is really narrow it is not advisable to park in front of the house for anything more than a couple minutes. Park down by the beach or at the river (see the parking instructions for the other Takeno ALT's apartment).
- Directions: From Toyooka, take the 178 heading towards Takeno (Tottori). When you take the exit to Takeno you will soon come to a T-intersection. Turn right at that intersection (heading towards the beach). Stay on the road until you see Takeno Station (it will be on your left; after about 10 or 15 minutes). You are now on the main street (just about the only street in Takeno with street lights). You will go through a signal. Keep driving straight. You will cross a bridge soon and then go through another signal (gas station on your right). Keep going straight. The road will narrow a bit. Keep your eye out for a beer/liquor store on your left. There will be a beer vending machine next to it. Next to that vending machine is this house! If you go past an elementary school on your right then you know you have gone too far.
