News from your National AJET Rep: April ’12

Hi Block 6!

Happy Spring Break and Sakura season!  Hopefully you had a few weeks to relax, join clubs, prepare for the new semester, and perhaps even take a small vacation. Welcome back!

Last month in AJET saw the results of the elections! Congratulations to Kevin McCoy, a CIR from Kobe and the new Block 6 Representative!  Stay tuned on the AJET website to get to know the other winners!  New representatives will take over in June.

In March, AJET was also in attendance at the Conference for Returning JETs (CRJ) to co-host the Information and Career Fair for Returning JETs. Nearly 30 companies, organizations, and universities were in attendance to provide information to the nearly 400 JETs who are planning to leave JET this year. AJET has partnered with these organizations in order to ensure that JETs have access to the best resources and opportunities for their life post-JET! If you couldn’t make the fair, you can still get in contact with them! Simply go to http://ajet.net in order to see a list of these CRJ Sponsors.

In other news, AJET is also now offering a number of new resources on the website. You can check out clip art from 4 artists on the AJET website! Clip art ranges from clothing to school subjects and is continually being added to! Go to http://ajet.net for more info and to find clip art for your next project!

Lastly, we are busy writing the last of the reports for this year, which will be presented to CLAIR and the other Ministries of Government in May!
