Proficiency Tests

There are a number of proficiency tests for Japanese. The most well-known is the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (日本語能力試験 nihongo noryoku shiken), called the JLPT for short. There is also the Business Japanese Proficiency Test.

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT)

The JLPT is held twice a year, in summer and winter. You can take the test within Hyogo. The JLPT has five levels, ranging from beginner to advanced. To find out more about the tests, check out the following URL: http://www.jlpt.jp/e/index.html
You can apply online or buy an application form for ¥500 at most major bookstores. The application is pretty painstaking. You may need help to fill in the form, so ask your go-between or a senpai for help.
